He says that the situation at this nuclear power plant remains relatively stable after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.

TASS Grossi’s opinion that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive in this area is cause for concern.

The IAEA Director General recalled that during his visit to the Zaporizhia NPP he saw that measures had been taken to retain and preserve available water.

He also confirmed that at the moment the situation at the nuclear power plant is relatively stable.

Grossi added that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is on the front line and therefore he is still concerned about the situation.

At the moment, the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is under the control of the Russian army.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that the Ukrainian army launched attacks on the city of Energodar, not far from which the Zaporizhia NPP is located.
