According to employees of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, an 11-year-old boy died from the consequences of the disease. He was hospitalized in early July.

Experts report that bird flu is currently limited to birds.

Since 2003, epidemiologists have documented more than 700 human cases of H5N1 influenza infection worldwide.

As for India itself, the first case of bird flu infection was registered here in 2006.

In September 2019, the country declared itself a bird flu-free area.

But in January this year, India recorded its first outbreak since then.

All persons who had contact with the deceased child are currently in self-isolation.

Earlier, former chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation, deputy of the Russian State Duma Gennady Onishchenko said that there is nothing terrible about bird flu.

Danger can only arise if superpathogenic substances are found in the characteristics of the strain.
