An all-female Israeli Defense Forces unit monitoring the border with the Gaza Strip warned command of an impending attack by the Palestinian Hamas movement, but their messages were ignored.

This was reported by the Israeli publication Haaretz, citing evidence from female soldiers.

What women soldiers warned about

According to the report, the unit, consisting exclusively of young intelligence officers, reported to the command about the preparation of Hamas fighters to overcome obstacles and the emergence of means to turn off the cameras, but the command ignored these reports.

As a result, the publication writes, it was the intelligence officers, who did not have military weapons with them, who became the first victims of the Hamas attack.

The female scouts were abandoned by the army and simply killed, unable to defend themselves, – the publication quotes one of the servicemen.

As reported, on October 7, the military wing of Hamas announced Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel. After a large-scale rocket attack from Gaza, Hamas fighters infiltrated Israel’s southern border areas.

According to the latest data from Israeli authorities, about 1,200 people were killed. This figure includes military, civilian, foreign nationals and workers. More than 5,000 people were injured.

The IDF responded by launching Operation Iron Swords in Gaza. Within a few days, the Israeli army took control of all border settlements and began carrying out air strikes on Gaza.

Israel also declared a complete blockade of the enclave, stopping the supply of fuel, water, electricity, medicine and food.

Israeli strikes on Gaza killed more than 12,300 people and injured more than 29,000.
