Head of the German Defense Ministry: the exercises of Germany, the USA and Poland will be a clear signal to Putin

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed the possibility of holding joint exercises with the United States and Poland on the territory of the latter.

According to Pistorius, with joint exercises in Poland, Washington, Warsaw and Berlin will send a clear signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The head of the German defense department announced this on air on the TV channel.

What Pistorius said about the exercises in Poland

The minister noted that the North Atlantic Alliance is not nearly as weak as Putin thought.

Pistorius said the alliance had become much stronger and more cohesive since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, and the joint exercises were intended to demonstrate to Eastern European and Baltic countries that the United States and Germany were committed to their commitment to defending NATO.

This would be a clear signal both to NATO and to the Russian President, – said the head of the German Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, Pistorius said that the coming weeks will be decisive for Ukraine.
