Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense: Warsaw began supplying Ukraine with ammunition even before the Northern Military District

Poland began supplying ammunition to Ukraine even before the Russian special operation.

This was announced by the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Mariusz Blaszczak.

What Blaschak said about the start of supplies of ammunition to Ukraine

In an interview with the Polish publication Metropolia Warszawska, the minister said that Ukraine’s support forced Poland to speed up work on equipping its army.

Blaszczak noted that Poland began supplying Ukraine with ammunition even before the special operation.

Let me remind you that we sent the first supplies of ammunition to Ukraine even before the start of the war, – said the head of the Polish defense department.

According to the minister, at the moment Poland has transferred T-72 tanks, portable air defense systems, artillery shells and ammunition, drones and loitering ammunition to Ukraine.

We also train Ukrainian soldiers to operate Crab howitzers and Leopard 2 tanks. Soon we will hand over the Leopard 2 tanks,” added the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense.

In total, in 2022, Poland provided military assistance to Ukraine amounting to 2.2 billion euros.
