After Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, the floods reached Poland.

Heavy rains have occurred in the southern part of the Eastern European country in recent days.

As a result, the rivers overflowed their banks, news agencies report.

In populated areas of some Polish regions, buildings and roads are flooded.

First of all, residents of two voivodeships faced the disaster: Lesser Poland and Podkarpackie.

In these regions, emergency services received several hundred calls from residents.

It is noted that due to strong winds, some houses and power lines were damaged. Trees often fall.

Today, July 19, the Polish government announced that support will be provided to all households affected by floods.

At the moment there is no information about the dead and injured in Poland.

However, the consequences of natural disasters in Western Europe are known: according to data as of July 19, the total number of victims was about 200.

In addition, more than 1.5 thousand residents of the affected regions are listed as missing.
