US journalist Seymour Hersh announced the secret conduct of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
According to the winner of numerous awards, Moscow and Kyiv allegedly interact “through senior military leaders.”
And this, as Hersh said, is being done despite the objections of Ukrainian President Zelensky and the leadership of the United States.
In his message, published on one of the foreign Internet portals, the journalist refers to American officials.
What issues are being discussed
According to Hersh’s statement, as part of the supposed negotiations, the parties are discussing the following possible solutions:
- fix the borders along the front line;
- leave Crimea and the Russian-controlled territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson region and Zaporozhye for the Russian Federation;
- Ukraine receives permission from Russia to join the North Atlantic Alliance (with certain restrictions).

According to the journalist, an important role in the supposed negotiations is played not by representatives of the top leadership of the Russian Federation and the United States, but by military leaders – Gerasimov (from the Russian side) and Zaluzhny (from the Ukrainian side).
