American investigative journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh announced the failure of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Hersh published this statement on July 13 on his page on the Substack platform.

Why Hersh believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive failed

According to Hersh, the failure of the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive is evidenced by the way it is covered by the media.

The journalist drew attention to the fact that in recent weeks no materials on the topic of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive have appeared in the American publications The New York Times and The Washington Post.

In recent weeks, stories about his successes, or lack thereof, have largely disappeared from the front pages. – said Hersh.

Earlier, he warned that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army would have negative consequences both for Ukraine itself and for the North Atlantic Alliance and the administration of US President Joseph Biden.

The journalist emphasized that there is a huge gap between the assessments of the situation in Ukraine by American intelligence and statements on this issue by the White House and the State Department.

Hersh also criticized American journalists who write about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive, relying on data from officials from the White House and the State Department.

As the Russian Ministry of Defense reported, the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army began on June 4.

On July 11, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost more than 26,000 people and over 3,000 units of various weapons since the beginning of the counteroffensive.
