On July 12, in the east of China in Jiangsu province, part of a hotel building collapsed.
A building collapsed in the city of Suzhou. At the moment, the media are reporting one death and 10 missing. The Central Television of the People’s Republic of China was the first to report the incident.
The incident occurred this afternoon.
As of 18:40 local time (or 13:40 Moscow time), 8 people were rescued from the rubble of the former Siji Kaiyuan Hotel.
One of them died; doctors assess the health of the four rescued as stable.
The remaining three are receiving the necessary medical care.
The causes of the incident have not yet been established. What is known is that there was a complete collapse of part of the hotel.
A search and rescue operation is underway.
It is not yet known how many people might have been inside at the time of the collapse of the structure.
