58views

The rebel Houthis from the radical Yemeni movement Ansar Allah have struck again.

This time they are targeting international submarine cables in the Red Sea linking Asia, Europe and Africa.

As a result of the attack by the militant Houthis, four such cables were damaged, TASS citing the Israeli newspaper Globes.

The latter clarifies: the damage was caused to communication cables laid along the seabed between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti.

The result of the Houthi attack was that serious disruptions in the functioning of the Internet began in the Gulf countries, as well as in India.

However, experts note, the damage is not critical, since other cables continue to operate in their normal mode.

It is noted that it will take at least two months to restore damaged lines.

Previously, the British one received serious damage after an attack by the Houthis.
