The loyalty rate of the leader of the Republicans in the Chamber, Hugo Motta (PB), to the Lula 3 government exceeds that of his opponents in the dispute for command of the House.

According to a survey by Arko Advice carried out at the request of CNNMotta voted in line with the current command of Palácio do Planalto on 49.20% of occasions.

The leader of União Brasil in the Chamber, Elmar Nascimento (BA), has a support rate for the Lula 3 government of around 23.53%, and the leader of the PSD, Antonio Brito, 46.68%.

Undefined dispute

Motta became the favorite this week to succeed Arthur Lira after deputy Marcos Pereira (Republicanos-SP) disputed his name.

In reaction, Elmar and Brito maintained their candidacies and the dispute remains undefined.

Loyalty to Bolsonaro and Dilma

The survey also shows that the most loyal of the three to the Jair Bolsonaro government was Antonio Brito, with a support rate of 58.56%; followed by Motta, with 53.30%, and Elmar, with 38.18%.

Brito was also the most loyal to the Dilma Rousseff government, with a support rate of 66.86%, followed by Motta (48.72%) and Elmar (20.80%).

Under Temer, their support rate is very close. Motta leads with 55.28%; Elmar had 55.06% and Brito, 54.61%.

Without a consensus candidacy, the dispute for Lira’s succession remains undefined.

Alert

Motta’s opponents have warned that he is pursuing an economic agenda contrary to that defended by the PT.

For now, considering that the election only takes place in February. Until then, they try to build their names, and it is also possible for one to give up in favor of another or even to find an alternative name.
