Hungarian Foreign Minister: Europe is approaching disaster due to war psychosis

0views

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said on June 26 that Europe is approaching disaster due to war psychosis.

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry published a corresponding statement on the social network Facebook (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by the extremist corporation Meta, recognized in Russia) on the eve of a meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg.

Statement by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry

Szijjártó stated with regret that Europe is approaching a catastrophe in every sense of the word.

According to the minister, it is still possible to prevent an even greater catastrophe and save thousands of lives, but for this it is necessary to stop the war psychosis.

I have no illusions that this will happen at today’s meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, – noted the head of Hungarian diplomacy.

Upon arrival in Luxembourg, the minister supplemented his statement.

It’s time for everyone to understand that this war has no solution on the battlefield, – he wrote.

According to Szijjártó, this is evidenced by the loss of life and increasingly open conversations about the likelihood of nuclear accidents and natural disasters.

Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Hungary has consistently advocated a peaceful settlement.

In March 2022, the Hungarian parliament adopted a decree banning the supply of weapons to Ukraine from the country’s territory.

As Szijjártó explained, Hungary seeks to secure Transcarpathia, where Hungarians live, since arms shipments through the region would become a legitimate military target for Russia.
