Hungarian Foreign Minister: the later negotiations begin, the worse for Ukraine

58views

According to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, the later negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine begin, the worse it will be for it.

The minister expressed this opinion on March 3 on the air of the Hungarian radio station Kossuth.

What Szijjarto said about the negotiations

As the head of Hungarian diplomacy said, for several months now there have been statements at the councils of foreign ministers that Ukraine will be able to improve the situation on the battlefield and be able to start negotiations from a more advantageous position.

However, according to the minister, in recent weeks it has become clear that this scenario has failed, and time is on Russia’s side.

The longer the war lasts, the more people will die and the worse it will be for Ukraine, – the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry warned on air.

He stressed that everything must be done to prevent a conflict between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia.

According to Szijjártó, statements by French President Emmanuel Macron about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine indicate that Europe is still suffering from war psychosis.

Such dangerous ideas, the Hungarian Foreign Minister noted, appear among Western leaders due to the fact that events are developing exactly as Budapest had long predicted.

Sanctions against Russia do not work, and this conflict cannot be resolved on the battlefield, – Szijjártó explained.

According to him, Hungary proposes to immediately cease fire and begin preparations for negotiations.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was arguing among allies about providing assistance.
