Hungarian Prime Minister: EU leaders’ plans for Russia’s defeat and change of its leadership will not work
The head of the Hungarian government, Victor Obran, said that the plans of the European Union leaders for the defeat of Russia and a change in its leadership will not work.
The Hungarian Prime Minister made this statement at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Astana.
What Orban said about the strategy of EU leaders
As reported, touching on the conflict in Ukraine in his speech, Orban said that the strategy of European leaders had failed.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, EU leaders expect that after the victory of Ukraine there will be a change of leadership in Russia.
And they will negotiate with the new leadership of Russia. It’s a failed plan – said the head of the Hungarian government.
However, Orban stated, the EU is still in a mood to continue the conflict.
According to him, European leaders want Ukraine to continue to fight, and they will support it with weapons and finances.
The Hungarian Prime Minister believes that the EU needs a Plan B for Ukraine, providing for negotiations and a ceasefire.
He called for the creation of a new security architecture in Europe, acceptable to both Ukraine and Russia.
This new security architecture, according to Orbán, will include Turkey and will have a positive impact on the entire Turkic world.
Without Turkey there can be no security in Europenoted the head of the Hungarian government.
He also spoke out against dividing the world into new blocs and in favor of maintaining economic ties between the West and the East.
