The Hungarian government knows from diplomatic and intelligence sources that Ukraine did not sign a peace treaty with Russia at the direction of the United States last March.

The head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, announced this on November 10 on the Hungarian radio station Kossuth.

What Orban said

On the radio, the Hungarian Prime Minister was asked to comment on the recent statement by former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder that the United States did not allow Ukraine to conclude a peace treaty with Russia at negotiations in Istanbul in March last year.

The head of the Hungarian government noted that this fact is well known in the world of diplomacy.

What the former German Chancellor said is a well-known fact in the world of diplomacy – Orban said.

According to him, the Hungarian government knows from diplomatic and intelligence sources that in Istanbul Ukraine and Russia, in fact, entered into an agreement that the Ukrainian side did not sign on orders from the United States.

Historians will find out about this one day – added the Hungarian Prime Minister.

He also said that in 2015, when the Minsk agreements were signed, the approach of the European Union was that it was necessary to help resolve the conflict between the two Slavic peoples, but then the United States entered the game, and since then a course of escalation has been taken.

Orban recalled that Hungary did not support arms supplies to Ukraine.

We do not want to support the Ukrainian state with weapons purchased with our money – concluded the head of the Hungarian government.
