IAEA experts set out from Kyiv towards the Zaporozhye NPP

As you know, on Tuesday, August 30, 14 IAEA experts, headed by the head of the agency Rafael Grossi, arrived in Kyiv.

The latter, by the way, held a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky. It was noted that the Ukrainian capital was an intermediate point in the specialists’ journey.

The final goal is the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, where they must conduct an inspection.

And this morning, August 31, the full delegation moved towards the nuclear power plant.

The IAEA convoy left Kyiv on Wednesday morning in the direction of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, – Rossiya Segodnya MIA citing Reuters.

In turn, this publication refers to the statement of an eyewitness who noticed the movement of the column.

It remains unknown when the mission will arrive at the nuclear power plant. Previously, the media wrote that the inspection there would be carried out from August 31 to September 3.

According to press reports, IAEA staff are accompanied on their journey by UN representatives involved in logistics and security issues.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the delegation will get to the facility through territory controlled by Ukraine.
