Over the past weekend, several people were arrested in different cities of the United States who are suspected of being connected with the terrorist organization ISIS*, banned in Russia.

Eight men from Tajikistan, potentially having ties to IS* from Central Asia, were arrested over the weekend in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, MIA quotes an excerpt from an NBC News publication.

According to the TV channel, the suspects were detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

It is also known that they were followed for several months by employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

It is clarified that US intelligence services considered it necessary to detain Tajiks on suspicion of connection with a terrorist structure.

However, no formal charges were brought against the detainees.

In addition to charges for connections with a terrorist organization, all detainees face deportation.

Earlier it became known that the UN Security Council adopted a US resolution on the deal.
