The start of the forced weekend in Russia was scheduled for October 30.

However, in a number of regions of the country, “coronavirus holidays” started today, October 25.

We are talking about the Perm Territory, as well as five regions (Voronezh, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod and Samara).

The period of non-working days should end after November 7, Russian Internet sources report.

Let us recall that last week Russian state leader Vladimir Putin declared non-working days from October 30 to November 7.

The decision was made against the backdrop of a difficult epidemiological situation due to the spread of coronavirus infection.

It is noted that during the period of forced “vacation”, Russian citizens will maintain their salaries.

The President of the Russian Federation emphasized: in some regions, the weekend period can begin earlier if there is a need for this.

According to the latest data, over the entire period of the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia, more than 8 million cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered. The disease claimed the lives of about 225 thousand Russians.

In recent days, the daily increase in COVID-19 infections in the Russian Federation has been more than 35 thousand.
