In Europe, gas prices have risen again: already above $1,100

0views

Gas prices in Europe, after some relative calm, have again begun to rise rapidly.

In particular, at the opening of exchange trading, the cost of blue fuel immediately jumped by 10.6%.

As of the morning of January 14, the price of 1,000 cubic meters of gas was more than $1,100.

At least, these are the figures presented by London ICE.

Based on available data, the price of February futures at the TTF hub in the Netherlands has risen to $1,121 per thousand cubic meters.

Thus, at that time, a MWh cost 94 euros 50 cents (according to the then established euro-dollar exchange rate).

Let us remind you that on December 21, 2021, gas prices set a historical record, rising to $2,190.40 per 1,000 cubic meters.

This was followed by a decline, after which, as we see, the trend corrected again.
