In Germany, a hotel collapsed: at least one person died

A hotel collapsed in western Germany. At least one person died as a result of the incident.

According to currently available information, at least eight people are under the rubble.

As reported by Bild, citing the police, one of the floors of the building collapsed.

The incident took place in the village of Kröw, located in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate (approximately between Luxembourg and Mainz with Frankfurt).

The hotel partially collapsed on the evening of August 6 – around 23:00 (about 00:00 Belarusian time).

One floor collapsed. One person died. At the time of the incident, there were 14 people in the building, including the largest German newspaper MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

According to her information received from law enforcement officers, five citizens were able to get out, they were not injured.

According to updated information, nine people may be under the rubble, including a child.

Police say they have made verbal contact with six people trapped under the rubble.

One person is considered dead, but his body has not yet been found, law enforcement officials noted.

About 250 first responders are working at the scene of the incident.

Specially trained dogs are also involved in the search and rescue operation, and UAVs are used.
