How the dacha of the head of Rheinmetall was set on fire in Germany

According to Bild, a fire in Papperger’s country house in the commune of Hermannsburg (Federal State of Lower Saxony) occurred on the morning of April 30.

A few hours later, left-wing radicals claimed responsibility for the arson by publishing a statement on the Indymedia platform.

They explained their actions by the fact that, in their opinion, the company is benefiting from a “turning point”, which the head of the German government, Olaf Scholz, has repeatedly stated in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.

Rheinmetall, from their point of view, collects old tanks of various types, which it then sells to Ukraine at a hefty profit.

Rheinmetall plans, produces and kills not only on a national scale, – noted in the statement.

Its authors also demanded the release of a recently arrested former member of the German left-wing organization Red Army Faction.

German law enforcement agencies are currently verifying the authenticity of the statement.

The arson investigation is being conducted by the Police Department of Public Safety.

Rheinmetall is the largest defense company in Germany. Over the past year, its turnover increased to 7.1 billion euros (by 12%), net profit to 600 million euros (by 9%).

The company’s annual report explicitly states that it has particularly benefited from increased demand amid the conflict in Ukraine.

It was previously reported that a New York resident was transferring drone technology to Russian companies.
