In Peru, a bus fell into a ravine from a height of 200 meters. Nine people died as a result of the fall.

The incident occurred in the province of Tarma. It is known that there were musicians from a folk orchestra in the vehicle.

The TASS agency reported the incident with reference to the RPP radio station.

According to the latter, the musicians were traveling to the capital of the country, Lima. They had a concert planned there.

In total there were 20 artists on the bus. Eight of them died (another one was the driver), 11 musicians were injured.

It is reported that the vehicle was traveling on a dirt road, used only in cases where a shortcut is needed.

According to preliminary data, the deceased bus driver tried to dodge an oncoming car, but lost control and, as a result, the bus fell into a ravine.
