An unusual emergency happened recently in Poland. It is connected with the MiG-29 combat aircraft.
During a training flight, the fighter lost its fuel tank over one of the country’s populated areas.
MIA Rossiya Segodnya talks about this extremely rare incident with reference to a statement by the General Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic.
According to the Armed Forces, during the flight the MiG-29, which took off from the 22nd Tactical Air Base, lost its fuel tank.
The tank was empty and fell several hundred meters from the buildings, the military said in a statement.
According to preliminary data, the pilots acted in accordance with established procedures.
Please note: no one was injured as a result of the incident.
The causes and circumstances of the incident will be investigated by the State Commission for Investigation of Aviation Accidents.
