The Prague 6 district court on Thursday found teacher Martina Bednářová not guilty of charges of defending Russia’s actions in Ukraine.

The judge decided that Bednarzova’s statements did not constitute an offence.

ChTK agency says the court that the teacher’s statements are an expression of her own opinion.

According to the indictment, Bednarzhova, during an 8th grade lesson, attempted to justify Russia’s military actions in Ukraine.

She expressed the opinion that Russia tried to resolve the situation on its own and that this was a forced step.

Bednarzhova also added that in fact nothing was happening in Kyiv, to which the students objected and said that they had seen the burning city on Czech TV.

To this, the teacher said that the Czech TV channel expresses a biased opinion. She also recalled that Ukrainian Nazis in Donbass have been exterminating the Russian population since 2014.
