In Russia, 5 people escaped from a detention center, including a person involved in a murder case
Five prisoners escaped from a temporary detention center in Russia.
The incident occurred on the night of August 6 in the city of Istra, Moscow region, Russian media report.
It is noted that the window to the cell was not completely closed. Thanks to this, the people inside were able to open the lock.
The staff of the institution did not pay any attention to what was happening, although the prisoners were making noise.
Five people left the place of detention at approximately 02:00, while the guards learned about what had happened only in the morning.
There were two more people in the same cell with the escapees. These prisoners emphasized that they did not even see their cellmates escaping.
However, it is possible that the two people remaining in the open cell simply did not want to escape.
It is known that the escapees headed towards the railway station.
Among the fugitives is Alexander Mavridi, a defendant in a criminal case of murder. The other four who escaped were people who ended up in a temporary detention facility for committing theft.
It is also reported that two temporary detention center employees were detained. They are suspected of abuse of power.
