In the Czech Republic they say that Germany may go ahead with the “shameful” launch of Nord Stream 2

The German authorities are ready to go ahead with the “shameful” launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

At the same time, Berlin can do this already this fall, or at the latest – at the beginning of winter.

This was reported by the chief economist of Trinity Bank (Czech Republic), Lukas Kovanda, arguing his opinion with the deplorable situation with gas reserves in Germany.

It is this factor, according to him, that will be decisive for Germany regarding the implementation of the “shameful” launch, –
MIA “Russia Today”.

The problem is that in Europe, including Germany, drought continues, which has led to a significant decrease in the water level in the Rhine.

And this, in turn, had a negative impact on shipping and the supply of coal to the country’s power plants.

All this, according to the economist, increases the likelihood that the situation in Germany will worsen further in the fall or winter, which will push the authorities to distribute energy.

The second option is “the shameful launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline,” notes Kovand.

He adds: Germany’s difficulties play into Russia’s hands.

According to the analyst, many German politicians are trying to blame Vladimir Putin, who launched a special operation in Ukraine, for the sharp rise in electricity prices.

In fact, this is primarily the result of the fatal failure of the energy policy they promote, known as the “energy transition,” the specialist explains.

It was precisely this that led Germany to even greater dependence on Russian gas,” the bank employee concluded.
