The tragedy happened in the town of Dubna near Moscow. There, an 11-year-old boy froze to death on the street.

It is known that the schoolboy fell into the river. Death was due to hypothermia.

The TASS agency reported this with reference to the representative of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, Olga Vradiy.

According to investigators, the child went to school on Monday, December 27, by bus.

At one of the stops, the boy got off and headed towards the Left Bank of Dubna, after which he disappeared.

Later, the student’s body “without visible signs of violent death” was found near the South Kanawha River.

According to preliminary expert data, the boy died as a result of frostbite.

In turn, the prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region clarified that the body of an 11-year-old boy was found on Tuesday evening, December 28, on Programmers Street in Dubna.

An investigation into the child’s death is underway.

As the press service of the supervisory agency reports in its telegram channel, based on the results of the inspection, a legal assessment will be given to “the fulfillment of the requirements of federal legislation on minors.”

Also, a legal assessment will be given to parents based on the fact that they have fulfilled their parental responsibilities.
