In the port of Amsterdam, workers refused to unload a tanker with Russian oil at the insistence of the union.
It also turned out that earlier the same ship was refused to be accepted at the port of Rotterdam. The municipality of Amsterdam supported the port workers. For now, the tanker is 40 km from the coast.
The port union convinced the workers not to accept the tanker for loading, as reported with reference to the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation.
A day earlier, a similar decision was made in the port of Rotterdam.
The decision of the union and the actions of the port workers were supported by the municipality of Amsterdam, which is a shareholder of the port.
Here they believe that it is undesirable to unload the Sunny Liger tanker.
This is not the only adventure of the tanker. It turns out that Sunny Liger was not allowed into the Swedish port, whose workers also refused to unload.
It is noteworthy that the ship flies under the flag of the Marshall Islands and is not under EU sanctions.
But it is solely Russian oil that prevents it from being allowed into the port.
