In the United States, police caught Pokemon instead of criminals. This is what happened next

34views

Members of the Los Angeles Police Department preferred to catch Pokémon rather than real criminals while on duty.

After their misdeeds became known, the police were suspended from service, but they decided to protest the management’s decision in court.

Lewis Lozano and Eric Mitchell were fired after it turned out that they refused to follow the orders of their superiors, reports.

Law enforcement officers simply shirked their duties while nearby criminals were robbing a store.

This happened in April 2017. After law enforcement officers received a signal about the need for reinforcements to arrive at the call site, they ignored the request, citing a poor signal and noise in the radio station.

Later they tried to hide their location from management.

However, during further investigation and study of the video recorder of their patrol car, it turned out that the men were playing Pokemon Go at that time.

First they caught Snorlax, and then Togetic.

In court, former police officers, trying to protest the decision of their superiors, stated that using the DVR recordings as evidence against them was unacceptable.

However, the court did not take into account the objections and found the dismissal to be justified.
