Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Douglas McGregor, gave an interview to political commentator Michael Savage on his official Youtube channel.
McGregor says that Ukrainian troops lost 26 thousand people – about the same number were wounded.
The expert notes that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the counteroffensive are too large.
McGregor expresses the opinion that the Kyiv administration is making an attempt to hide the fact of large losses not only from citizens, but also from the world community.
The former Pentagon adviser notes that Vladimir Zelensky can only hope for a third party that can save the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
McGregor suggests that the military command of the Ukrainian army has already despaired and very soon there will be nothing left of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu received information that the total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after the start of the counteroffensive amounted to 26 thousand people.
The Ministry of Defense also notes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost about three thousand units of military equipment.
