In the United States, the series of troubles with railway transport continued with a new incident in the state of Montana.

After a series of train crashes and fires carrying chemicals, this time a railway bridge collapsed into the river along with a freight train carrying hazardous substances.

As a result of the collapse of the bridge, several train cars carrying hazardous materials collapsed into the river, reports.

The incident occurred in Montana. According to preliminary information, eight cars fell, resulting in a leak of hazardous substances – hot asphalt and molten sulfur.

Authorities are currently looking to block the river’s flow to prevent the chemicals from spreading and contaminating farmland downstream.

Emergency measures have been introduced at water treatment plants, and the state’s population is being asked to conserve clean water.

Along with the bridge collapse, the fiber optic cable was damaged, leaving part of the state’s population without Internet.

This is not the first train accident in the United States this year.

On May 17, about 20 railroad cars derailed in Idaho.

On April 27, 2 railroad cars fell into the Mississippi River. They carried paint and lithium-ion batteries.

On April 15, a train derailment caused a fire in Maine.

On April 8, 5 cars derailed in Pennsylvania and 25 cars carrying beer and clay in Montana.

On March 30, several train cars carrying ethanol derailed in Minnesota, requiring an evacuation.

On March 28, a train derailed in San Bernardino County, and on March 26, 31 cars carrying hazardous materials derailed in North Dakota.
