Foreign sources have reported how the United States benefited from European countries’ fear of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the American side took advantage of the current situation and seriously increased arms exports to countries that are members of the North Atlantic Alliance.
Expert Robbie Gramer shared the relevant information in an article for a Western publication.
The analyst came to his conclusions by comparing the total cost of weapons that the Americans supplied last year and this year.
How did the US benefit?
Gramer recalled: in 2021, the American side supplied weapons to other countries for a total amount of $15.5 billion.
But in the past year this figure was already 28 billion dollars – almost twice as much.
The expert admits that some countries may refuse the weapons supplied to them. Still, the financial benefit for the United States is undeniable.
According to Gramer, in recent years, a number of European countries have noticeably decreased their defense capabilities. Russia, which launched a special military operation in Ukraine, has caused serious concerns among European states.
The result, as the analyst emphasized, was the desire of Western countries that are members of NATO to acquire additional weapons. The supplier is the United States, which makes a profit because of Europe’s fear.
