A passenger bus was involved in an accident in Turkey, at least 12 people were killed and another 19 citizens were injured.
The incident occurred in the province of Yozgat, located in the central part of the country.
From the details of the incident, it is known that the bus (night flight) left Sivas. The final destination of his route was Istanbul.
Near the village of Sorgun (about 192 kilometers from Sivas), the driver lost control of the vehicle.
As a result, the bus drove into oncoming traffic and fell from a 20-meter height, – TASS.
According to Yozgat Governor Mehmet Ali Ozkan, the authorities were informed about the incident on August 20 at 23:52 (the same time as Belarusian).
Unfortunately, there was an accident, the report of which we received at about 23:52. We wish a speedy recovery to the victims, and convey our condolences for the death of our citizens,” said the head of the regional administration.
Doctors, police and gendarmerie officers worked at the scene.
The injured passengers were taken to medical facilities in Yozgat and Sorgun. Two of them, doctors say, are in serious condition.
The head of the Turkish Ministry of Justice said that an investigation has been launched into the accident.
The circumstances and causes of the incident are being established by the prosecutor’s office and investigators.
