The Ukrainian energy system suffered serious damage.
A corresponding statement was made by Vladimir Kudrytsky, who holds the position of head of the board of Ukrenergo.
An energy company spokesman described the level of damage as “unprecedented.”
According to Kudritsky, the number of damaged or destroyed energy facilities is significant.
And we are not only talking about Ukrenergo substations, we are, unfortunately, also talking about power plants, – MIA quotes the words of Vladimir Kudritsky.
Thus, damage was recorded at many thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants – at facilities where electricity is generated for Ukrainian settlements.
Forecast regarding the state of the Ukrainian energy system
The head of the board of Ukrenergo did not rule out that in order to completely restore the country’s energy system, it will take many years.
Kudritsky noted that Ukraine has reserve capacities: they allow us to partially cope with the shortage of electricity.
But the problem is that the existing equipment is unlikely to be able to function for a long time and uninterruptedly. In this regard, each new damage leads to increasingly serious consequences for the energy system.
