A powerful explosion occurred in the port of Dubai (the largest city in the UAE). The incident happened on one of the moored ships.
According to media reports, we are talking about an oil tanker, on which, as eyewitnesses say, one of the containers was on fire.
It is believed that it was the fire that triggered the explosion. Local authorities said that no one was injured, and the fire was soon contained.
A little later, the country’s government confirmed information that the cause of the explosion was a fire in the container.
Civil defense representatives and emergency services were at the scene.
