India is sending “encouraging signals” about its readiness for dialogue on introducing a price ceiling for Russian oil.
Deputy head of the US Department of Treasury Wally Adeyemo said this in a conversation with a representative of Bloomberg.
Over the weekend I received an encouraging message from the Indian Petroleum Minister that they are discussing the possibility of joining, – employee of the American financial department MIA “Russia Today”.
Let us recall that earlier the finance ministers of the G7 countries, which includes the United States, agreed to introduce a limit on the price of Russian oil.
India was invited to join the coalition by the American presidential administration.
Moscow responded to the initiative of the G7 countries. Thus, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia will stop supplying energy resources to those countries that support such an idea.
In turn, Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that if a price ceiling is introduced, Russian oil will be supplied only to those states that operate on market conditions.
