In India, dangerous fungal diseases are actively spreading among those who have recovered from coronavirus.

At the moment, we know about such diseases as black, white and yellow mold.

Now a new type of fungus has been identified in an Asian country – “green mold”.

The disease was detected in a 34-year-old resident of Madhya Pradesh.

This was reported by news agencies with reference to local media.

It is noted that a patient with “green mold” recently recovered from a coronavirus infection.

The man suffered from COVID-19 very hard: the lung damage was 90 percent.

Even after recovery, the Indian felt unwell. So, his nose was bleeding.

Doctors examined the patient and decided that he had “black mold.” However, later experts came to the conclusion that the man was infected with “green mold.”

A green fungus was found in the man’s respiratory organs. The patient was hospitalized in one of the medical institutions in Mumbai, the largest Indian city.

COVID-19 situation in India

At the moment, the Asian country is experiencing an extremely unfavorable epidemiological situation.

In terms of the number of people infected and dying from coronavirus, India is getting closer and closer every day to the leader of the anti-rating – the United States.

According to the latest data, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India stands at 29.7 million. More than 380 thousand citizens of the country died.

The body of many Indians who have recovered from the disease is so weakened that it becomes vulnerable to fungal infections.
