Information about preparations for the evacuation of the families of German diplomats from Ukraine turned out to be fake

The day before, information appeared on the Internet that, following the US State Department, Germany began developing plans for the evacuation of the families of embassy workers.

In particular, Ukrayinska Pravda wrote with reference to the Bild publication that such a plan will be implemented if the situation worsens.

Let us recall that, against the backdrop of reports about an allegedly impending invasion of the Russian Armed Forces into the territory of Ukraine, the US Embassy in Kyiv requested permission from the State Department to evacuate some of its employees.

The discussion was about technical personnel and their families, but no clear decision was made on this issue.

Soon information appeared that the German Foreign Ministry was preparing a plan for the evacuation of its employees from Kyiv, in case the situation “worsened.”

The reason is implied to be the probable Russian aggression against Ukraine, discussed by the media on the Internet.

According to DPA, the German Foreign Ministry denied reports of preparations for the evacuation of diplomats’ families due to the situation caused by tense relations between Russia and Ukraine.

We are very closely monitoring the state of security of the personnel of our representative offices in Ukraine, and are also in close contact with our partners in the EU and at the international level,” the German Foreign Ministry quotes the message as saying.
