Information about the completely destroyed Trypilska Thermal Power Plant near Kiev has been confirmed

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine confirmed previously published information about the completely destroyed Trypilska Thermal Power Plant near Kiev.

This thermal power plant was the largest energy-generating facility in the Kyiv region.

It supplied electricity not only within its region, but also to the Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.

On the night of Thursday, April 11, the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant in the Kyiv region was completely destroyed. – TASS statement of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

The department notes that there was a large-scale fire in the turbine shop at the facility.

Work to contain the fire is currently ongoing there.

Let us add that the said thermal power plant is located on the right bank of the Dnieper, approximately 45 kilometers from Kyiv – near the village of Trypillya.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Rada adopted a document tightening mobilization.
