By March 1, the European Union will be able to supply only 600 thousand artillery shells to Ukraine instead of the promised 1 million.
Bloomberg agency informed the general public about this, citing its own sources.
They cited two factors as the reason for this: constant delays in the production of ammunition and European anxiety over the risk of depleting their own reserves.
In this regard, Brussels will be seriously behind the delivery schedule for a total of 1 million shells, TASS read the Bloomberg publication.
In principle, such a quantity will not be provided by March 1 – it will be able to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with only 600,000 ammunition, say the interlocutors of the foreign publication.
Perhaps, they suggested, at the informal meeting taking place these days in Brussels, the EU defense ministers will try to find additional sources of supplies.
But even if they succeed, the volume of 1 million shells will still not be reached by March 1, Bloomberg’s interlocutors said.
It was previously reported that the United States could launch GLSDB missiles to Ukraine on January 31.
