Instead of the hepatitis B vaccine, children under 1 year of age were given a drug against COVID-19 in Turkey

0views

Due to a medical error in Turkey, a vaccine against coronavirus infection was used when vaccinating minors against hepatitis B.

It is reported that children aged 1 to 6 months received high doses of an anti-Covid drug instead of an age-appropriate hepatitis vaccine.

Local media report that a criminal case has been opened regarding this fact.

Doctor Zafer Kurugel, a professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Aegean University in Izmir, reported the incident to Turkish television journalists on September 23.

Investigative measures are being carried out in Turkish hospitals that received drugs for COVID-19.

At the moment, it has also become known that no serious consequences have been identified among infants vaccinated against Covid.

The children tolerated the vaccination well, despite the fact that they were given a high dose of the drug.

The exact number of vaccinated babies is not known.

Let us note that mass vaccination in the country is carried out with the Chinese drug CoronaVac; developments from Pfizer and BioNTech are used upon request.
