Iraqi Prime Minister asked Putin to initiate a ceasefire in the Middle East conflict

The head of the Iraqi government, Mohammed Sudani, appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to initiate a ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

What did Sudani ask Putin for?

Speaking at the plenary session of the forum, the Prime Minister of Iraq asked Putin, as the president of the country, which is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, to come up with an initiative for a real ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

And searching for a real solution to the Palestinian problem, – added the head of the Iraqi government.

Sudani noted that the consequences of the current escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict cannot be predicted, since the Islamic world is seething with what is happening in the Gaza Strip.
