The Israeli Ministry of Justice has published a list of Palestinian prisoners who could be released as part of a deal with Hamas.

Let us remind you that both sides confirmed their readiness to exchange people.

In exchange for the Israeli hostages released by Palestinian radicals, Tel Aviv will release from its prisons Palestinian citizens previously arrested for various offenses.

The Ministry of Justice compiled the mentioned list on behalf of the government.

The information is correct at the time of publication and provided by law enforcement agencies, – commentary from the TASS agency.

The list includes 300 names of Palestinian prisoners, more than double the number of people Israel previously agreed to release in exchange for 50 hostages held in Gaza.

At the same time, some media outlets draw attention to the fact that the publication of the list allows Israeli citizens to appeal the release of specific prisoners in the courts.

But they can do this only within 24 hours after the list is published.

Tel Aviv previously spoke of its readiness to release up to 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons for 50 hostages held within four days.

Then, under the Israeli proposal, another 150 prisoners could be released if Hamas releases additional hostages.

According to The Times of Israel, the Ministry of Justice list contains the names of 13 Palestinians convicted of attempting to commit terrorist attacks.

Another 287 names are teenagers who were detained for participating in riots in the West Bank or East Jerusalem.
