Israel tells the UN that more than a million Palestinians must evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip within 24 hours.

Israel has said that 1.1 million Palestinians must soon move from the northern Gaza Strip to the south of the territory.

As the Israeli side emphasized, the above-mentioned number of Palestinian residents have 24 hours to do this.

Israel handed over the relevant information to the United Nations (UN), reports.

However, the international organization believes that such a rapid evacuation will lead to serious consequences.

This statement was made by UN representative Stephane Dujarric.

Spokesman Antonio Guterres emphasized that those associated with the United Nations also need to leave the northern Gaza Strip.

In addition, the warning is addressed to people who have found refuge in UN facilities, including medical and educational institutions.

The situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip

The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict began on October 7.

On that day, Israeli territory was shelled from the Gaza Strip, and Hamas fighters penetrated into some Israeli areas.

Soon, the Israeli Armed Forces announced an operation on Palestinian territory located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
