It became known about the intention of NATO countries to agree on the organization of a “military Schengen”.

Thus, the North Atlantic Alliance wants to ensure the free movement of military convoys.

At the same time, the military-political bloc plans to implement the innovation even before its July summit in Washington, TASS citing The Times.

The mentioned publication interviewed the head of the NATO Logistics Command, General Alexander Solfrank.

He confirmed: indeed, it is highly desirable for the bloc to minimize bureaucracy in order to increase its mobility.

He also pushes for greater partnership among NATO member countries on the interchangeability of equipment.

For example, the general does not consider it a good idea to ban paratroopers from one country from using parachutes from other countries.

Earlier, the Turkish parliament gave the go-ahead for Sweden to join NATO.
