Speleologists for the first time descended to the bottom of the “hell well” located in Yemen and revealed its secrets.
The area is popular not only for its infernal name, but also for its notoriety. Both circumstances played a role in conferring the title of the most mysterious place on Earth.
Scientists of the Oman Cave Exploration Team, devoid of all prejudices, decided to descend to the bottom of the underworld.
They not only returned from there alive, but also collected rock samples at the bottom of the Yemeni “Well.”
Legends and secrets
Of course, the local population avoids the dark well, remembering the evil spirits supposedly living in the cave.
According to local traditions, otherworldly evil forces called jinn do evil and do not grant wishes.
Expeditions
Somehow the Yemeni authorities decided to send an expedition there.
But for unknown reasons, after the scientists dropped to 50-60 meters deep into the cave, the expedition had to be abandoned.
The new expedition destroyed all the dark romance of this place, reaching the very bottom of the “hell well”.
Scientists did not find anything interesting there from the point of view of esotericism and occult sciences.
The only things that attracted the attention of speleologists were snakes, animal remains and cave pearls.
