Politico reported that it will be included in the next package of military assistance that Washington intends to provide to Ukraine.
This time we are talking about Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles, which can be launched from sea and land and can be used to intercept air targets.
The publication reports that the United States is not yet ready to transfer Abrams tanks to Kyiv, but they may be included in the next package, journalists write.
In the foreseeable future, Washington is no longer planning, but is preparing to provide Kyiv with a new package of military assistance worth three billion dollars.
According to information from a foreign publication, it will include:
- the mentioned Sea Sparrow missiles;
- about 50 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles;
- Humvees;
- cars MRAP4
- a certain amount of ammunition.
Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles can be launched from sea and land to intercept aircraft or cruise missiles.
Let us recall that in December last year, Vladimir Zelensky met with Joe Biden and spoke to American congressmen. At the same time, he received a promise to provide another package of military assistance worth $1.85 billion, the key item in which is the Patriot air defense system.
According to the publication, one complex will be provided to Kyiv by Washington, the second is promised to be sent from Berlin.
