It became known why Xi Jinping was angry with the West

Recently it became known that Chinese leader Xi Jinping was seriously angry with the West.

The attempt of his French colleague Emmanuel Macron to convince his interlocutor of the need to put pressure on Russia on the issue of Ukraine added even more fuel to the fire.

The step taken by the leader of the French nation did not yield any results.

But Xi Jinping reacted “angrily” to criticism of Beijing from the West because of China’s cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Negotiation

The American newspaper The New York Times found out about all this and shared it with its readers.

As MIA Rossiya Segodnya has read its publication, during the negotiations held in Paris, both politicians called for an “Olympic truce.”

However, the article says, “no concrete progress has been made on the issue of putting pressure on Russia by Beijing.”

Xi Jinping, the article continues, resolutely opposed criticism of China for its close relations with Russia.

He said he was against using the crisis to “shift responsibility onto third countries, tarnish their reputation and initiate a new cold war.”

Angry remark

Separately, the leader of the PRC emphasized: his country was not at the origins of the Ukrainian crisis and is not one of its parties.

The angry remark appeared to be directed mainly at the United States, which believes that China, in addition to buying huge amounts of Russian oil and gas, continues to help Moscow, the author of the article writes.

He claims that during the negotiations, Macron and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, tried to put pressure on Xi Jinping.

They, the publication states, wanted him to use his influence on the Russian Federation to end the SVO in Ukraine.

But there were no signs indicating that the Chinese leader would do this, the NYT noted.

Earlier, Congress called for sending US troops to Ukraine.
