In Italy, medical workers who are not vaccinated against coronavirus infection will be suspended from their duties.

This decision was made against the background of mass vaccination in the country, which started at the end of last year. It is known that doctors were required to get vaccinated.

The decision on mandatory vaccination of doctors was made by the Italian Council of Ministers on April 1, MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

The decree provides for the total vaccination of Italian healthcare workers, regardless of the type of ownership of the institution.

Even pharmacy workers must get vaccinated.

The legislative act also provides for measures of influence on those who refuse to voluntarily take part in the program.

According to the decision, healthcare workers who refuse vaccination will have to move to another position that excludes contact with colleagues and patients.

But only if there is a corresponding vacancy.

Otherwise, unvaccinated health workers will be suspended from their duties, without pay.

The decree adopted by the government is valid until the end of this year.
