Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi has resigned again. This time, President Sergio Mattarella did not reject the request.

It is known that Draghi again decided to leave the post of head of government after discussion and voting in the Senate.

The President of the Republic took note of this. The government remains in office to resolve current issuessays the official statement.

It is noted that on July 21, the head of state will meet with the heads of the chambers of the country’s parliament to discuss its dissolution, as provided for by the Constitution.

Mario Draghi announced his decision to leave the post of Prime Minister for the first time last week.

He was not stopped even by the fact that the Senate expressed approval of the current government.

The president did not accept the politician’s resignation, inviting Draghi to inform parliament about the current situation.

The day before, another vote of confidence in the Council of Ministers took place in the Senate.

Once again, the government was supported by the majority – 95 out of 133 senators voted for confidence.

However, three leading parties in the country abstained from participating in the vote.
